Bandipora, April 17: Students of Government Higher Secondary School held a protest demonstration on Tuesday against the rape and murder of eight-year-old nomadic girl Asifa, a resident of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. Scores of the students took to streets shouting pro-freedom slogans against the gruesome incident and demanded punishment for the guilty.Holding placards the protesting students marched within the college premises demanding justice for the victim.
demanding Hanging of Culprits.Hundreds of students gathered at Nadihal chowck holding placards which read “Justice for Asifa,” “Hang the killers,” “Hang the Rapists. The march which started from Nadihal Chowk ended at Nadihal Higher Secondary school Nadihal and witnessed a huge participation of Students.
Students while raising slogans demanded punishment for the perpetrators of the heinous crimes.Protesting Students said the protest was aimed to draw attention to violence against women all over the world, adding, the modesty of women should be respected in all ways no matter which place.
We have faith in law that our sister will get justice soon one of the protester said at the end, and dispersed peacefully.
